PROPOSITION
ww2 natal

Take an aspect from your birth chart and write it into your diary.

When you are looking for guidance or an answer to a question regarding a specific aspect from your birth chart, you proposition your Higher Self using your Soul Diary which is designed and utilized specifically for this purpose. The first thing to do is write down the aspect at the top of a clean sheet of paper in your diary, e.g:

And directly underneath, write your question. Be as specific and as simple as possible, e.g.:…

Place your Soul Diary on a night stand next to your bed and leave it open, with an arrow pointing to the aspect.

DREAM

Now we go to sleep with the aspect and question in the forefront of our mind.

As you are going to sleep, hold the image of that aspect in your mind, focusing on the glyphs as well as on your question. You will receive an answer – maybe immediately overnight with your waking dream or maybe it could take a week – but you will receive an answer. The Soul will stimulate you through your senses to let you know you have been heard.

The Soul begins to receive your propositions entered in your Soul Diary and will feed back answers, as It has for many lives, in terms of image and symbol, specifically images taken from your everyday life. This process creates an image vocabulary which has always been there, whether or not you recognise it, created out of things that have occurred in the outer world in this life (referred to as “externa”).

We are closest and therefore most receptive to impressions from the unconscious when we are just falling asleep and when we are waking, which makes the energy surrounding a dream image most potent.

RECORD

When we wake, we write the dream down in our Soul Diary.

In his book The Spiritual Diary Dr Baker explains that this is one of the most important tools available to us as we tread the spiritual path. This book describes the purpose of maintaining a spiritual dairy and various techniques we can utilise towards connecting with the Higher Self and the expression of its intent. It is important that we begin to record elements of our subjective life and the diary provides us with the means for doing so. The diary ultimately becomes a link between us and the Higher Self, serving as the mechanism by which we may seek counsel from the Higher Self, providing us with an invaluable record of direct inner response by virtue of our dreams, meditations, synchronicities, etc. This book contains many examples from Dr Baker’s own spiritual diaries, over a forty-year period while demonstrating how it is possible, through the language of symbols, to establish a dialogue with our own Higher Self.

The Claregate Method provides you with a set of symbols, represented by the age-old and established astrological glyphs, which are the stepping stones for moving around the unconscious. Now, BE THE OBSERVER. Notice your dreams, especially any waking imagery you are given. Be aware of any feelings that arise, coincidences, possibly an old familiar smell, or words to a song or a reading that captures your attention. Then make sure to write down your dream imagery in your Soul Diary. Whether or not you understand it, the answer will be represented in the symbols of your dream (or your meditational visual imagery).

Make an effort to encapsulate the dream imagery in a basic sentence, which is called a “permutation.”

PARSE

By using Douglas Baker’s Astrological Dictionary we can now match the astrological symbols to the dream.

Your waking dream might involve you driving a red truck to the Capitol. To parse the permutation simply requires assigning astrological glyphs from your posited aspect to the vocabulary describing the symbols of your dream.

capitol-building

The key phrase for the 1st House is “I am” and Red is its colour. It also represents anything of a national nature, for instance the Capitol Building in Washington, DC (the symbol of national government: Saturn in the 1st), which is where national laws (Libra in the 1st) are made to govern the nation (Saturn in the 1st). A symbol for Saturn (Ruler of the Sign of Capricorn) is a truck.

PONDER

To get the most meaning from a dream it is best not to try and use the mind immediately to interpret it, but ponder on the dream until you begin to sense a meaning.

The Claregate Method brings a step-by-step process by which you can reveal your truths, your destiny in this life. SYMBOLS ARE THE LANGUAGE OF THE SOUL. You have sent your question both subconsciously to your Soul (through entering the glyphs of the aspect in your Soul Diary) as well as to your thinking brain (through your posited question). The answer is presented in the dream symbology of you in a red truck at the Capitol Building. You must brood and ponder on that symbology, and once the meaning occurs to you, you will experience an immediate release of energy.

PRACTICE

Practice makes perfect.

You can continue to build your list of mutually understandable symbols and increase the number of usable keys on your “keyboard” to communicate with your Higher Self (or Soul) by relating your original aspect to another aspect in your chart, e.g.:

And include the influencing factor of the Rising Sign. Follow steps 1-5, and the resulting permutation of a dream might be:

practise-new

As we have seen, the car is often the symbol for the personality. A flat tyre can indicate feeling low, or depressed, and the Soul is making us aware we are in that state.
